North shore Maui ocean view B and B is a vacation rental with three bedrooms for rent individually on Maui's north shore. Each room has a private bathroom, ac, tv, and Wifi. Room 3 is the only room on the top floor of the house. The rest of the house, the entrance, fully equipped kitchen, living room and spacious ocean view lanai are all shared spaces with the other guests and the owners. Located near the road to Hana we are ideally situated for exploring this side of Maui. We are on agricultural land and grow bananas and citrus. For breakfast we provide bagels, eggs, yogurt, waffles, oatmeal, banana, coffee and tea. Breakfast is self serve and is available anytime. We live on the property and are available at all times for questions and assistance. We are available for one night minimum stays and do not charge a cleaning fee. We work hard to keep insects and geckos at bay but they do occasionally find a way inside. We are a permitted rental. This recently built comfortable cottage is located on the north shore of the island of Maui, tucked away in the quiet countryside of Haiku but relatively close to major attractions! Enjoy a relaxing vacation in a rich tropical setting with spectacular ocean views! The Space The house offers panoramic views of the mountains and the ocean with warm and breezy weather. The house living space is 1000 square feet with an additional 400 square feet of deck and a double carport. The house is great for couples, solo travelers, and families with kids. Lush foliage is abundant, with banana, citrus, and avocado trees planted throughout the yard. The house is perfect for a relaxing vacation in a quiet, private, and peaceful tropical setting. Guest Access The house has a variety of features to ensure you have a wonderful stay on Maui. The large outdoor patio has teak wood furniture and a gas barbecue, perfect for enjoying dinner while watching the sunset. We offer a modern fully equipped kitchen, with a dishwasher, fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, cookware, dishes, and utensils. The home includes high-speed wireless internet, two smart TVs, an Apple TV media streamer, a stereo system, and a laundry area with a washer and dryer. The master bedroom includes a king bed, a large closet, and a master bathroom with a double walk-in shower and a private outdoor shower. There is also a separate tv viewing area with a sofa and a second guest bathroom with a walk-in shower. Interaction with Guests We are usually very responsive to messages, available to answer questions, and perform needed maintenance. We are also happy to provide you unique recommendations of activities to do and things to see while you are on Maui. Other Things to Note The cottage is located on a 2.9 acre property, which includes a house where the hosts live. One dog, a friendly miniature labradoodle, lives inside the hosts' home and will not be at the cottage. Kids are welcome as long as they are supervised by adults, since there is a steep gulch on the edge of the property. The Neighborhood The house is in a small and quiet neighborhood in the countryside, which allows you to be away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities, but also still relatively close to major attractions. This allows you to have a unique and fun visit not comparable to a hotel, and lets you experience living the Hawaiian lifestyle. The ground floor Areca Suite apartment is approximately 1000 sq ft with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living/dining room, kitchenette (not stove/oven), washer / dryer and spacious lanai (patio). There's a dedicated workspace desk, with a view of the ocean, if you're working remotely or need to catch up on email. Lanai: There's a lanai for your private use with coastal ocean views and dining seating for four guests, plus some comfy chairs. Propane grill and also beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards are located on the lanai. Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 has a king bed, bedroom 2 has a queen bed. Both bedrooms have a/c, ceiling fan, dresser, bedside tables, hanging closet, luggage rack, bathrobes and slippers. Bedroom 1 also has a 32" TV with internet access for you to use your own account, Netflix, Hulu etc. In addition, a queen-size memory foam sleeper sofa in the living room offers an alternative for guests 3 and 4. Kitchenette: Has the essentials, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, kettle, steamer, blender, toaster, microwave, single electric hotplate plus all dishes and utensils. There's a a propane BBQ grill on the lanai solely for your use. Ideal for guests doing a little light cooking and take out, rather than preparing large meals (there is no stove/oven). Laundry: Full-size Samsung washer/dryer for your exclusive use in the apartment, located in bedroom 2. Breakfast: We provide packaged snacks and breakfast food items for you to have a self-catered light-island breakfast at the time of your choosing. Tea and coffee are also provided. The above is meant as a starter supply of breakfast foods to get you going until your first grocery shopping trip. But let us know if you need restocking on any items. We are located on 2-acres in a serene setting. Feel free to pick ripe fruit in season for breakfast or a snack. We are about 10-minutes to the nearest beaches (Hookipa, Baldwin, Sprecklesville), great restaurants and 20 minutes from Costco, Walmart and Target in Kahului. If you prefer the Central - South beaches of Kihei they are just a short 30-minute drive away. Jaws Country Store is 2-minutes away which has handy items and also serves to-go food and coffee/smoothies. Nearby things to do: We’re located near the beginning of “The Road to Hana” and so there’s plenty to do right here. It s a beautiful tropical location, with lush greenery and flowers and impressive waterfalls. Twin falls is a short distance away, also Na ili ili-haele Stream & Waterfalla nd Waikamoi Nature Trailhead. The Gardens in Haiku are nearby and The Garden of Eden Arboretum is a short drive away. There’s great stores and galleries in Paia and Makawao (approx 6 miles each) or visit Haleakala for that once in a lifetime experience.
